Our Audience—LEGENDmag is for those people who want to support the independent lifestyle. People who given the chance: buy from independent business's, register as independents, buy independent art, and are bonded by a want to balance the "progress" of globalization in their everyday life.

Our Aim—While the world continues to become more connected, independent companies small and large are capable of much more then ever before. Our goal is to help local, national, and international independent brands, the people behind them, the art that inspires them, and the causes that support them, become a part of the world's everyday decision making.

Our History—LEGENDmag was started as a free pocket guide in 2004 by Rai-mon Barnes in Sacramento, CA. It was born from the need to find the people, businesses, products, and ideas that attract independents. After establishing a foothold in California, kc! Bradshaw (who created the magazine's logo) and Christopher Guest (the magazine's first investor) were brought on full time to help launch LEGENDmag into what it is today: A national source for the independent lifestyle.

Rai-mon Barnes is an independent lifestyle advocate and founder of LEGENDmag. A back ground in music coupled with more then 12 years of being an entrepreneur, Rai-mon is a forward thinking progressive whose life work is synthesizing the independent aesthetic and creating a community for "indies".
